Methods of treatment

Laser treatment of varices

The laser treatment of varices has been applied for the first time in 2002 in the United States.

Our center is involved in laser treatment of varices since March 2005. Our observations confirm high efficiency of this method.

The laser treatment of varices, in contrast to traditional surgery , is a little invasive method. It consists in introducing into the vein a dispensable optic fibre and closing the saphenous vein under the influence of heat generated by laser.

Efficiency of this method is estimated at 98%. It is a method causing, in contrast to the conventional method, little injury. In the conventional method the injury caused by the surgery leads to different ailments (pain, absorption of the hematoma resulting from extraction of the saphenous vein) lasting up to even three or four months. In the laser method the ailments basically recede in only few days. The remaining veins in the leg are closed by foam injection sclerotherapy, miniphlebectomy or cryostripping.

Laser treatment of spider veins

Laser Diodowy ChiroLas

Spider veins are red or blue blood vessels, unfortunately very well visible on the skin. They are usually localized on the nose, cheeks, chest and obviously legs.

For closing those vessels we use laser with the wavelength of 980nm. The laser light passes through skin and is absorbed in blood present in the spider veins. It causes immediate closing of such vessel and obtaining a very good cosmetic effect. The unique wavelength causes that the procedure is safe and effective.

Obviously not all spider veins can be closed with the laser light. In those cases we apply foam injection sclerotherapy and through such injection we close the vessels.

Every patient reporting to us is presented an individual and specifically selected treatment program.

In our center we use the Diode ChiroLas Laser by the German A.R.C. LASER company. The unique wavelength of this laser (980nm) allows in highly effective and safe manner get rid of varices and spider veins.
